DRINKING WITH YOUR EYES Wine makers are now betting on cutting-edge label designs to entice a youngersi audience

The wine industry has experienced a revolution during the last two decades. The management of the most prominent vineyards has been passed from the older to the younger generation, which has in turn opened up the Bacchus elixir to a much younger audience; the taste for good wine is no longer owned by suited and serious businessmen. For this reason, some leading Spanish wineries have been creating brands and labels that break the mould. Top designers have implemented fresh and more casual brand designs to wines from some of the main Spanish regions, including Rioja and Ribera, making the experience of opening a bottle and tasting the wine a more visual affair.
